DESCRIPTION

K-98 Mauser bayonet with dark brown Bakelite grips with no chips or cracks and loads of blue on the blade. Marked by Mundlos on the ricasso and numbered 4326, which is matched on the bayonet scabbard at the throat, with a secondary number, O.2291P on the guard, dated "39" on the spine of the blade and Waffenamt stamps on the pommel. The black leather frog has some wear abrasions, but is solid and is marked on the reverse, but I cannot make out the date. The scabbard and pommel have oxidized somewhat to brown, with one area on the backstrap showing a little lighter since it was covered by the retaining strap.
Fresh out of a local estate. No further information, unfortunately. Untouched.
