Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Steve Rogers Antique Arms. Below are terms and conditions of sales.
By accessing this website, you agree to be bound by them.

I strive to describe items accurately, photograph them clearly, and include known defects. I am happy to answer questions or provide additional photographs. I try to keep this site current, but items are subject to prior sale, so check with me to confirm your purchase before sending payment. Email is good, but a phone call is the surest way to check: (607) 273-0271.

I accept payment by check, money order, bank wire transfer or paypal.

The first two should be made out to Steve Rogers, and sent to me at PO Box 6595, Ithaca, NY 14851. Paypal payments should go to SRAntiqueArms@gmail.com. Payment is expected within seven days. Shipping and insurance are extra and may vary by method and destination.

On some items over $500 I can offer a sixty-day lay-away if necessary. 1/3 is due on agreement to purchase; 1/3 in thirty days; the remaining 1/3 by the end of sixty days. Items are shipped only on clearance of the final payment. Failure to complete the layaway within the prescribed time frame voids the layaway agreement and all funds paid will be forfeited. Lay-away customers are in breech of contract if any payment due is more than 10 days late, and items purchased by lay-away are not returnable for any reason. I cannot offer these terms on all items.

Items may be listed on other venues. In some cases there may be additional fees in that venue or a price difference to compensate for such fees. If you purchase through such a venue, I cannot alter the terms or the pricing. Prices quoted on this site are for direct sales from me to you.

Shipping costs include insurance. Someone may have to be home to sign for an item. Shipping is by USPS and occasionally by UPS.

I sell or ship outside the U.S. at my sole discretion. Unfortunately, certain countries are notorious for losing or delaying shipments, and for the most part, insurance is not available on items shipped outside the U.S. Items shipped outside the U.S. are not returnable and any loss or damage incurred is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Special restrictions on methods of payment and shipping may apply. Costs for foreign addresses, APO boxes, etc., vary by item and destination. In some cases the cost of such shipping can be quite high.

I offer a three-day inspection/return privilege on all items, unless otherwise specified. After three days, I consider an item sold, but offer a lifetime guarantee for authenticity. Exceptions to this are items purchased on lay-away, items shipped overseas, and books. Uniforms and equipment are sold as collector items and are not returnable for size issues. You should notify me within three days of receipt an item is coming back and it should be carefully packed and insured as well. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Refunds are made after the item has been received back here and inspected. Items must be returned in the same condition as sent, with no alterations, damage or improvements.

Lastly, it is not always possible to disassemble an antique firearm or determine if a minor part such as a spring or screw has been replaced at some point during its lifetime. I do not regard this as a valid ground for return on grounds of authenticity. I will note such things as defects when I am aware of them.

ANTIQUE Firearms and ANTIQUE Edged Weapons will ONLY be sold to those 18 years of age or older, who live in a jurisdiction where it is legal to posses such items. It is the responsibility of the buyer to determine the legality of such possession in their locality. I do not ship weapons overseas. All antique firearms are sold as ANTIQUE COLLECTORS ITEMS ONLY and ARE NOT WARRANTED TO BE SAFE FOR SHOOTING, EVEN FOR SHOOTING BLANK AMMUNITION. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have any firearm inspected by a competent gunsmith prior to using it in any way. In no way am I responsible for any injury, misuse or careless handling of any antique firearm or weapon.

ITEMS RETURNED MUST BE IN THE SAME CONDITION AS ORIGINALLY SHIPPED: NO ALTERATIONS, DAMAGE, OR IMPROVEMENTS. Please note that in antique uniforms and gear, size issues are not grounds for return. Antique garments should not be worn in any case, but I realize that some WW2 collectors are buying uniforms and gear to wear for reenactments. Measurements, when given, may only be approximate, for reference purposes only, and I cannot be responsible if those last three pizzas were too good to pass up.

Payments should be made out to "Steve Rogers" and mailed to:
