Original stag handle side knife in its original pasteboard "leatherette" scabbard. Knife is 10 1/2 inches overall with a 5 7/8 inch blade, straight, spearpoint with a substantial 3 3/16 false edge and 9/16 inch ricasso. "Rodgers / Sheffield" stamped on one side of the ricasso with "Rough & Ready" stamped beneath it in very thin angular letters, using a stamp that just fits the ricasso, the "y" being right on the edge. German silver mounts: pommel cap, ferrule, guard. Ferrule has grapevine motifs. Blade shows bright mixed with dark gray areas, some minor corrosion in the dark gray. Good edge and point. Scabbard solid, leather showing some scuffing etc. but gold borders show. Upper mount lacks the button. German silver tip gone.
