A pair of Federal period curtain tie-backs with enameled "Arms of the United States." Upright eagle with spread wings clutches arrows and olive branch. Holds a blue ribband in its beak reading "E PLURIBUS UNUM." Thirteen red stars arc over top on the white background. Minor lines on one; the other has more, along with green corrosion to the brass around the cirumference and some rust to the iron backplate. Both have 2 1/4 rod backs including the 3/4 inch screw ending in a small round stop plate with a turning below. The rod on the one with the corrosion has a bend.
External diameter 1 7/8 inches, internal enamel 1 1/2 inches, rod 2 1/4 inches, overall length 2 3/4 inches.
