About as mint as they come. Bridle leather strap, full length with both slides, full turkshead knot and all tassels present.
Used to prevent loss of the saber in action, one end pulls out from the turkshead knot and is looped around the guard of the sword, reinserted in the knot and one of the inner tassels was then to be pushed through a hole in the tip of that end and the strap pulled back a bit to lock it tight.

All the finish intact, no flaking. Strap a bit stiff. I would display this as is rather than damage the finish by trying to mount it on a saber. Never had any leather dressing applied. A top notch example that will be hard to equal.
